SUPPORTING SMES FOR INNOVATION, INTERNATIONALIsATION AND ADOPTION OF NEW TECHNOLOGIES
- AEC Eurocluster is a joint strategic initiative aimed at supporting SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) sectors across Europe. The project focuses on collaboration, green and digital transformation, and increasing resilience in the built environment.
- The project aims to identify dependencies in the AEC sectors, foster international industrial partnerships, and provide support and upskilling opportunities for SMEs in their transition to digitalisation and sustainability.
- The project includes activities such as mapping the ecosystem, developing business continuity plans, facilitating cluster-to-cluster learning, providing voucher-based funding for innovation projects and technology adoption, and supporting internationalisation efforts.
- Financial support is offered through grants and vouchers for various activities, including innovation training, internationalisation through attending preselected fairs, and the development and adoption of new technologies.
- The project brings together five clusters located in the middle of Europe and aims to drive cross-cluster cooperation, promote eco-innovative and smart products, and enhance the international competitiveness of European construction companies.
- The project partners include Construction Cluster of Slovenia, Business Upper Austria – OÖ Wirtschaftsagentur GmbH, Technological Cluster on Interiors and Design, Southern European Cluster in Photonics and Optics, and Association Cluster “Technology Enabled Construction-TEC”.
